An Individual involved as a developer, owner, investor, asset manager or those providing services in commercial real estate who is 35 years or younger when applying for membership. NAIOP Developing Leaders must provide proof of age. A clear copy of the applicant's government issued identification (driver's license, birth certificate, or passport) must be submitted with the membership application. Membership will not be activated until NAIOP receives the required documentation.
DL membership is available at a substantially reduced annual dues rate. If you are employed with a NAIOP New Jersey Corporate Member firm, dues may be even lower. Note: NAIOP Developing Leaders membership is excluded from qualifying a company for a chapter-based corporate membership. FOR EXAMPLE: ABC Real Estate has one Full member and one Affiliate member. If a third person joins from ABC Real Estate as a "NAIOP Developing Leaders" member, this does not qualify the fourth person from ABC Real Estate to be added at the corporate affiliate rate. Join now.
DL Members are encouraged to attend all NAIOP NJ events, but we also host events exclusively for DLs, such as Evening with a Legend and select mixers and tours. Some events will only be announced via personal invitation sent to your email address, others will be available for online registration. For more information on DL events, click here

Developing Leaders National Forum
NAIOP (Corporate) launched the new Developing Leaders National Forum (DL Forum) at Development ’11 in Scottsdale.
The DL Forum provides industry professionals who are 35 years, and under, and who have four or more years of related industry experience, the unique opportunity to network with and learn from fellow members and seasoned industry leaders at the national level. Like the senior National Forums, the DL Forum will feature peer-to-peer case study presentations and analysis, and moderator led discussions that demonstrate successful strategies to address the challenges facing the industry today. Throughout the two-year term, there will be regular presentations by senior Forum members, conference speakers and special guests on core industry issues. Concepts covered throughout the Forum period will be reinforced at the end of the term in a case study that will be critiqued by senior Forum members.
One of the goals of the DL Forum is to ready its members for senior National Forum membership and NAIOP staff will proactively work with members to prepare them for the application process at the end of the program.
The program runs from October 2011 to October 2013. More information about the Developing Leaders Forum can be found at the following link – DL Forum.
